Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 12, 2026

1. Overview

This policy explains what data Clipxir (operated by WCDynamics) collects, why, and who it's shared with. Clipxir locates clip-worthy moments in your Twitch/YouTube content, edits them with AI into short vertical videos, and - only if you connect an account and ask it to - publishes the result to your own TikTok or YouTube account.

2. Information we collect

Account information - your email address, password (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase; we never see it in plaintext), and any display name you set.

Content you submit - Twitch clip/VOD URLs, YouTube URLs, or video files you upload, plus the videos Clipxir produces from them.

Connected-platform data - if you connect TikTok or YouTube in Settings, we store the OAuth access/refresh tokens those platforms issue and basic account info (like your TikTok display name or YouTube channel name), so Clipxir can post on your behalf when you ask it to. These tokens are stored with no direct access from your browser or any other user's account - only the specific systems that need to make an authenticated post on your behalf can read them.

Usage data - your submission history (what you submitted, when, and its processing status) so we can show it back to you in your dashboard.

Marketing and analytics data - when you visit our marketing pages, we log anonymous, session-based interaction data (which pages you viewed, whether you clicked into signup) to understand how the site is used. This isn't tied to your account, and the identifier behind it doesn't persist past your browser tab session. If you start creating an account but don't finish, we store the email address you entered so we can follow up and invite you to finish signing up.

3. How we use it

  • To locate, edit, and render the clips you submit.
  • To post a finished clip to a TikTok/YouTube account you've connected, only when you explicitly click "Post" on that specific clip.
  • To operate and maintain your account and its history.
  • To communicate with you about your account or the service.
  • To improve Clipxir's detection and editing quality.
  • To understand how visitors use our marketing site (anonymous, aggregate traffic and funnel data only).
  • To follow up by email if you start creating an account but don't complete it, inviting you to finish signing up. These emails will include an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing or requesting deletion (§7) stops them immediately. Once you do complete signup, we keep a coarse record of your signup region and how you found Clipxir on your account for internal reporting, and delete the pre-signup record described above.

We don't sell your data.

4. Who we share it with

Clipxir uses a small number of third-party services to operate:

  • Supabase - our database, authentication, and file-storage provider. Your account data, submitted content, and rendered clips are stored there.
  • OpenAI - clip content (transcript, audio, and relevant video frames) is sent to OpenAI's API to power AI-assisted editing and captioning, when you use that mode.
  • TikTok / YouTube - only if you connect an account, and only the specific video and caption/title you submit for that post - we don't access anything else on your connected account.
  • Twitch - we fetch publicly available clip/VOD information from Twitch to process a submission; this doesn't require you to log in with Twitch.
  • Cloudflare - hosts the Clipxir website.

Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy and terms.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data and clips for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, Danger Zone, which deletes your account and your clips. You can disconnect a TikTok/YouTube connection at any time from Settings, which removes the stored token for that platform immediately.

Anonymous marketing/session data is kept in detail for up to 13 months, after which only aggregate, non-identifying trend data is retained. If you start creating an account but don't finish, we keep the email address you entered until you complete signup, unsubscribe, or request deletion - we don't currently apply an automatic time limit to this, though that's something we may revisit.

6. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including restricting who and what can read connected-platform OAuth tokens at the database level. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

You can access and correct your account information from Settings, delete your account and content at any time, and disconnect any connected platform at any time.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data - for example, under the GDPR (EEA/UK) or the CCPA/CPRA (California). These include the right to request a copy of the data we hold about you, request its deletion, correct inaccurate data, object to or restrict certain processing, and (where applicable) data portability. California residents specifically have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request deletion; we don't sell personal information and don't need to offer an opt-out of sale for that reason. To exercise any of these rights, use the in-product controls above or contact us (§10) - we'll respond within the time required by applicable law.

Abandoned-signup follow-up emails (§3) will include an unsubscribe link once we send them. Unsubscribing, or contacting us (§10) to request deletion, stops them immediately.

8. Children's privacy

Clipxir isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll post the update here with a new "Last updated" date.
